(Benzhydryloxyethylpiperidyl) aliphatic acid derivatives and their use in the treatment of allergies and asthma

A compound of formula (I):

• ##STR63## in which:
• each of the groups or atoms represented by R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and halogen atoms;
• A represents a straight or branched chain aliphatic hydrocarbon group having from 2 to 8 carbon atoms whose chain contains at least 2 carbon atoms in a linear chain between the piperidine group and --COOH, said group being saturated or including at least one double or triple carbon-carbon bond;
• and
• m and n are independently 0, 1, 2 or 3;
• and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters thereof.
