A synergistic microbicidal composition comprising 1-methyl-3,5,7-triaza-1-azoniatricyclo(3.3.1.1)decane chloride and a 3-isothiazolone compound selected from the group consisting of 2-n-octyl-3-isothiazolone, 5-chloro-2-methyl-3-isothiazolone, 2-methyl-3-isothiazolone, and mixtures of two or more thereof;
- in a weight ratio of about 1:2 to about 1:2000.
