Benzodioxole derivatives

A benzodioxole derivative having the formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof ##STR363## wherein R.sup.3 is H, lower alkyl, or phenethyl;

• and W is (b) ##STR364## wherein R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are the same or different and selected from H, lower alkyl, benzyl or phenethyl, Y is COOH or CONR.sup.5 R.sup.6, wherein R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and selected from H, lower alkyl and carboxymethyl, or (c) ##STR365## wherein R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are the same or different and selected from H, lower alkyl, benzyl, or phenethyl, Y is CONR.sup.5 R.sup.6 wherein R5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and selected from H, lower alkyl, or carboxymethyl.
