Abstract
A butenoic acid compound is defined by the following formula: ##STR1## in which Z is O,S, vinylene or azomethyne, A is an alkylene and J is phenyl or etc. It is useful to treat the heart desease.
Claims4
A butenoic acid compound having the formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof:
- ##STR180## wherein R.sup.1 represents an imidazole group;
- Z represents an azomethyne (--N.dbd.CH--) group,
- R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 may be the same or different from each other and each represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or allyl group;
- A represents a C.sub.1.about.6 alkylene group which may have a lower alkyl or hydroxy-substituted lower alkyl substituent bonded to any carbon of the group;
- J represents a group of the formula:
- ##STR181## wherein R.sup.8, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom, a lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, hydroxyl, nitro, cyano, trifuloromethyl group, a group represented by the formula:
- ##STR182## wherein R.sup.11 and R.sup.12 may be the same or different and each represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, or an alkanoylamino group, or any two members of R.sup.8, R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 may form an alkylenedioxy group together with adjacent carbon atoms;
- and n represents an integer of 1 to 6.
