Abstract
According to the present invention a dispersant is provided for stabilizing dispersions of metal oxides and/or carbon black in water in the presence of a hydrophilic binder. Said dispersant is a block-copolymer comprising at least one block of an ammonium group containing (meth)acrylate.
Claims5
An element comprising on a support at least one layer comprising a hydrophilic binder, a metal oxide and/or carbon black and a block-copolymer which comprises at least one block of a methacrylate or acrylate monomer corresponding to the general formula:
- ##STR3## wherein R.sup.1 represents a methyl group or hydrogen, each of R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 which may be the same or different represent a hydrogen, an alkyl, aryl or alkylaryl group, R.sup.2 represents a divalent organic group and X.sup.- represents an anion.
