Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of polymers based on polyindoles by chemical polymerization of indole in the presence of an oxidizing agent and of a solvent. The invention also relates to compositions and electroconductive devices containing the polyindoles thus obtained and to the use of the polymers obtained.
Claims5
A process for the preparation of polyindole, comprising:
- chemically polymerizing indole at a temperature between about 10.degree. C. and 25.degree. C. in an acidic reaction mixture comprising one organic solvent and further consisting of one oxidizing agent to prepare polyindole, and
- separating said polyindole from said reaction mixture.
