Abstract
An ethylene glycol composition containing a glycol-compatible welan gum having unique viscosity and thermal properties. The composition is especially suitable as an insulation material.
Claims7
A thixotropic composition consisting essentially of ethylene glycol, a chelating agent, and glycol-compatible welan gum, wherein the glycol-compatible welan gum, in a 0.25% mixture with ethylene glycol, measured at 6 rpm with a Brookfield LVT, at room temperature and cylindrical spindle #4, has a viscosity greater than about 2,500 cP.
