Abstract
An emulsion layer containing silver halide grains reduction-sensitized by an ascorbic acid or at least one of its derivatives and containing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound having a mercapto group is formed on a support.
Claims21
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising, on a support thereof, an emulsion layer containing silver halide grains reduction-sensitized by an ascorbic acid or at least one derivative thereof and containing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound having a mercapto group, wherein the ascorbic acid or at least one derivative thereof for use in reduction-sensitization is added in an amount of 5.times.10.sup.-5 mol to 1.times.10.sup.-1 mol per mol of silver halide.
