Image reading apparatus

An image data processing apparatus for processing image data comprising:

• a) area designating means for designating a plurality of local areas of an image to be reproduced,
• b) density designating means for designating density levels of images corresponding to the designated local areas wherein the density level of the image corresponding to each of the local areas is individually designated,
• c) data processing means for processing the image data corresponding to said images to be reproduced and outputting the same, and
• d) control means for controlling said data processing means so that the images in the designated local areas are to be reproduced with the densities based on the density levels which are designated for each of the local areas.

An image processing apparatus for processing an image data comprising:

• area designating means for designating a plurality of local areas of an image corresponding to the image data to be processed;
• density designating means for designating individual density levels corresponding to each of the designated local areas;
• generating means for generating a threshold value corresponding to each of the density levels designated by said density designating means;
• and
• data processing means for comparing the image data corresponding to each of the local areas with the corresponding threshold value generated by said generating means and for outputting processed image data according to results of the comparison.

An image processing apparatus for processing an image data comprising:

• area designating means for designating a plurality of local areas of an image corresponding to the image data to be processed;
• selecting means for selecting one or more reference values corresponding to each of the plurality of local areas designated by said area designating means, said reference values corresponding to each of the local areas being selected independently of each other;
• and
• comparing means for comparing the image data corresponding to each of the local areas with selected reference values corresponding to the same local area and for outputting processed image data based on results of the comparison.

An image processing apparatus for processing an image data comprising:

• area designating means for designating a plurality of local areas of an image corresponding to the image data to be processed;
• density designating means for designating individual density levels corresponding to each of the designated local areas;
• generating means for generating a plurality of threshold values including one or more standard threshold values and local threshold values which correspond to each of the designated local areas, generating each of the local threshold values according to the corresponding density level designated by said density designating means;
• and
• data processing means for comparing the image data corresponding to each of the local areas with the corresponding local threshold value, for comparing the image data corresponding to an area which is out of the local areas with the standard threshold values, and for outputting processed image data according to results of the comparison.
