Abstract
In an advantageous process for the production of mouldings from expandable graphite, a liquid is first added to the expandable graphite and the resulting moist preparation form of the expandable graphite is heated in moulds to temperatures above 180.degree. C.

A process for the production of mouldings from expandable graphite, in which water or a water-containing liquid is added to expandable graphite to form a moist preparation containing not less than 2% wt. water and the resulting moist preparation form of the expandable graphite is heated in moulds to temperatures above 180.degree. C. to expand it within the mould.
