Abstract
A particulate composition having improved stability in typical electrolytes consisting essentially of Magneli phase substoichiometric titanium oxides.
Claims7
An electrochemical cell, including a liquid electrolyte and electrodes disposed in said electrolyte, wherein one of said electrodes comprises a particulate composition consisting essentially of titanium suboxide of the formula Ti.sub.n O.sub.2n-1, where n is greater than or equal to 4, in the form of particles as a Magneli phase, and said particles have a diameter of about one micron or more and a surface area less than 0.2 m.sup.2 /g.
