Abstract
A moving base is provided relative to a stage base fixed to a microscope's body and is movable in a linear direction with a specimen placed thereon. A drive wheel coaxial with an operation handle is mounted on the stage base such that it is rotatable. A rail is mounted relative to a mount face of a moving base with an elastic member therebetween such that it is fixed at both ends. The rail is placed in pressure contact with a V groove of the drive wheel by an elastic force of the elastic member. Even if there occur warping of the rail and eccentric state of the drive wheel, the elastic member is correspondingly deformed elastically so that the state of contact of the rail with the drive wheel is uniformly controlled by an elastic force of the drive wheel.
Claims11
A moving stage comprising:
- a stage base;
- a moving base supported relative to the stage base such that the moving base is movable along a straight line;
- a rail supported on one of the stage base and the moving base, the rail extending in a direction that corresponds to a direction in which the straight line, extends, the rail comprising a wire;
- a drive wheel rotatably mounted on the other one of the stage base and the moving base on which the rail is not supported, said drive wheel having an outer peripheral surface in pressure contact with the rail;
- and
- elastic means, mounted uniformly on only said one of the stage base and the moving base so that the elastic means is positioned to be in uniform contact with and arranged between said one of the stage base and the moving base and the rail along a length of the rail, for uniformly elastically supporting the rail along the length of the rail that is in pressure contact with the drive wheel.
A moving stage comprising:
- a stage base;
- a first moving base supported relative to the stage base such that the first moving base is receiprocably movable along a first straight line relative to the stage base;
- a first rail supported on one of the stage base and the first moving base, said first rail extending in a direction that corresponds to a direction in which the straight line extends, said first rail comprising a wire;
- a first drive wheel rotatably mounted on the other one of the stage base and the first moving base, said first drive wheel having an outer peripheral surface that is in pressure contact with the first rail;
- first support means, mounted uniformly on only said one of the stage base and the first moving base so that the first support means is positioned to be in substantially uniform contact with and arranged between said one of said stage base and said first moving base and the first rail along a length of the first rail, for uniformly elastically supporting the first rail along the length of the first rail that is in pressure contact with the first drive wheel;
- a second moving base supported on the first moving base, said second moving base being receiprocably movable along a second straight line that is orthogonal to the first straight line;
- a second rail supported on one of the first and second moving bases so that the second rail extends along the second straight line;
- said second rail comprising a wire;
- a second drive wheel rotatably mounted on the other one of the first and second moving bases, said second drive wheel having an outer peripheral surface that is in pressure contact with the second rail;
- and
- second support means, mounted uniformly on only said one of the first and second moving bases, so that said second support means is positioned to be in substantially uniform contact with and between said one of the first and second moving bases and said second rail along a length of the second rail, for uniformly elastically supporting the second rail along the length of the second rail that is in pressure contact with the second drive wheel.
