Phenylmethoxyimino compounds and agricultural fungicides containing them

A compound of the formula (I):

• ##STR16## wherein X is a hydrogen atom or 1 to 5 substituents which may be the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, phenyl optionally substituted by 1 to 5 substituents selected from the group consisting of the above alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, halogen atom, phenoxy optionally substituted with these substituents, phenyl optionally substituted with these substituents and heterocyclic group selected from the group consisting of pyridyl, pyrimidinyl, pyrazinyl, thiazolyl, oxazolyl, isoxazolyl, pyrazolyl and imidazolyl optionally substituted with these substituents, a heterocyclic group selected from the group consisting of pyridyl, pyrimidinyl, pyrazinyl, thiazolyl, oxazolyl, isoxazolyl, pyrazolyl and imidazolyl optionally substituted by 1 to 5 substituents selected from the group consisting of the above alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, halogen atom, phenoxy optionally substituted with these substituents, phenyl optionally substituted with these substituents and said heterocyclic group optionally substituted with these substituents, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, phenoxy optionally substituted by 1 to 5 substituents selected from the group consisting of the above alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkynyloxy, halogen atom, phenoxy optionally substituted with these substituents, phenyl optionally substituted with these substituents and said heterocyclic group optionally substituted with these substituents, mono-, di- or tri-substituted halogenoalkyl and a halogen atom;
• Y is CH or N;
• m is 0 or 1;
• A is a group of the formula:
• ##STR17## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or alkyl;
• and n is 0 or 1.
