Abstract
A method of suturing using a suture made from materials which, upon application of energy, contract or expand after implantation in tissues and/or prosthetic materials same.
Claims7
A method of treating tissues and prosthetic materials, comprising:
- (a) suturing the tissue or prosthetic material with a flexible heat-sensitive polymeric material adapted to undergo a change in dimension in vivo upon the application of energy to the flexible material;
- and
- (b) applying energy to the flexible material effective to cause said in vivo change in dimension.
