Abstract
Compounds having the formula I: ##STR1## are antagonists of the actions of leukotrienes. These compounds are useful as anti-asthmatic, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, and cytoprotective agents. They are also useful in treating angina, cerebral spasm, glomerular nephritis, hepatitis, endotoxemia, uveitis and allograft rejection.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR10## wherein:
- each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is independently H or lower alkyl with the proviso that at least one is lower alkyl, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 attached to the same carbon are a ring of 3 to 6 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.3 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl:
- and
- n is 1 to 4;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
