A recombinant DNA sequence selected from the group consisting of:

A recombinant DNA sequence which codes for a human pancreatic elastase selected from the group consisting of human pancreatic elastase IIB, human pancreatic elastase IIIA, human pancreatic elastase IIIB, which have amino acid sequences as follows:
