Abstract
Pharmaceutical compositions for oral administration used for the treatment and prevention of hyperlipemia, obesity and obesity-related diseases contain phytic acid or its salt as a pharmaceutically effective component.

A method of treatment for obesity and hyperlipemia symptoms comprising the oral administration to a mammal in need of such treatment of an effective dosage of a pharmaceutical composition consisting essentially of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of phytic acid, a non-toxic phytate salt, and mixtures thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
