Abstract
Azeotrope-like compositions comprising pentafluoroethane and 1,1,1-trifluoroethane are stable and have utility as refrigerants for heating and cooling.

Azeotrope-like compositions consisting essentially of from 60 to about 38.4 weight percent pentafluoroethane and from 40 to about 61.6 weight percent 1,1,1-trifloroethane which have a vapor pressure below that of both pentafluoroethane and 1,1,1-trifluoroethane at -10.degree. F., wherein the azeotrope-like components consist of said pentafluoroethane and 1,1,1-trifluorethane.
