Abstract
Di-tert.butoxydiacetoxysilane is prepared by reacting tetraacetoxysilane with tert.butanol at a reaction temperature of up to 60.degree. C., and the resulting di-tert.butoxydiacetoxysilane is isolated.

In the method of preparing di-tert.butoxydiacetoxysilane by reacting tetraacetoxysilane with tert.butanol, the improvement which comprises performing the reaction at a temperature of 0.degree. to 60.degree. C., and isolating the resulting di-tert.butoxydiacetoxysilane product.
