A compound of the formula ##STR34## wherein R is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or haloalkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
- and
- B is a purine base or pyrimidine base
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
