Abstract
This invention relates to a metallized polypropylene film made from polypropylene/acid terpolymer blends and the process for the manufacture thereof. The acid terpolymer is composed of an ester monomer, an acid monomer and ethylene.
Claims14
A process for producing metallized polypropylene film, the steps of the process comprising:
- a) blending polypropylene with an acid terpolymer,
- b) producing a film from said blend, and
- c) depositing a thin layer of metal on said film.
The process of claim wherein said polypropylene includes both the random copolymer and the block copolymer polypropylene.
