Abstract
This invention provides 6-substituted-4-(amino or substituted amino)tetrahydrobenz[c,d]indole serotonin agonists useful in treating a variety of conditions associated with serotonin function.
Claims21
A compound of the Formula (I) ##STR8## wherein:
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, allyl or ##STR9## R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or allyl;
- R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, --NR.sup.5 R.sup.6 or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylthio;
- R.sup.4 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or vinyl;
- R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl substituted with phenyl group, or a phenyl group or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 together form a C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 saturated heterocyclic ring;
- R.sup.5 is additionally hydrogen;
- X is O or S;
- or
- a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
