Abstract
An apparatus for filling aerosol packages. The aerosol package includes an outer pressure resistant shell having an opening in the upper end and a resilient container is disposed within the shell as an inlet sealed within the opening of the shell. A valve unit is disposed in the opening and includes a valve. A propellant gas is located in the space between the shell and the container. The filling apparatus includes a reservoir of liquid and a nozzle communicates with the reservoir. The nozzle is inserted in the valve unit and acts to open the valve and a force is then applied to the liquid in the reservoir to transfer the liquid from the reservoir to the container within the aerosol package.

In combination, an aerosol package having an outer pressure resistant shell, said shell having an opening therein, a resilient container disposed within the shell and having an inlet sealed within said opening, a valve disposed in said opening, a propellant gas disposed in the space between the shell and the container, a filling apparatus for introducing a liquid into the container, said filling apparatus including a reservoir of liquid and a nozzle communicating with said reservoir and disposed to be inserted in said valve to open said valve, and force means for applying a force to said liquid in the reservoir to thereby transfer the liquid from the reservoir through said nozzle to said container.
