Abstract
A purified, isolated DNA sequence encoding human bactericidal permeability-increasing protein and biologically-active fragments thereof is provided.
Claims8
An isolated DNA sequence encoding human bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein or a biologically active polypeptide fragment thereof comprising from about residue 1 to about residue 210.
An isolated DNA sequence encoding bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein or a biologically active polypeptide fragment thereof comprising from about residue 1 to about residue 210 selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a DNA sequence according to FIG. 5;
- (d) a DNA sequence which encodes bactericidal/permeability increasing protein or a biologically active polypeptide fragment thereof and which hybridizes to the DNA sequence of (a) under stringent hybridization option;
- and
- (c) a DNA sequence which encodes the same bactericidal/permeability increasing protein or a biologically active polypeptide fragment thereof as a DNA sequence of (a) or (b).
