Quaternary ammonium antistatic polymer compositions

A synthetic polymer composition having antistatic properties comprising a synthetic polymer having incorporated therein an antistatically effective amount of a quaternary ammonium compound represented by the graphic formula:

• ##STR4## wherein R is a C.sub.2 -C.sub.22 alkyl, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.22 alkyl and an alkyleneoxy radical represented by the formula --CH.sub.2 --C(A)H--O].sub.x H, R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl and the radical, --CH.sub.2 --C(A)H--O].sub.x H, or R.sub.2 may join together with R.sub.1 to form a morpholino group, R.sub.3 is a radical represented by the formula, --CH.sub.2 --C(A)H--O].sub.x H, R' is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyl and C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 alkyl phenyl, A is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, methyl and ethyl and x is 1.
