An improved silver-glass paste for bonding a semiconductive element to a substrate comprising a metal resinate. A surfactant containing lyophilic and lyophobic groups may also be included.

In a silver-glass paste comprising silver flake, organic vehicle, organic resin, surfactant and a glass component, the improvement wherein the glass component comprises a mixture of lead phosphovanadate and lead telluride vanadate.
