Abstract
A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material having, on a support, at least an emulsion layer containing a yellow coupler represented by the general formula (I) and a sparingly water soluble epoxy compound represented by the general formula (II): ##STR1## An excellent dye images with improved yellow image storability, particularly, heat and wet heat fastness can be obtained.
Claims9
A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprised of a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer containing at least one yellow coupler represented by the general formula (I) and a sparingly water soluble epoxy compound represented by the general formula (II) and having a solubility in water at 18.degree. C. of not more than 1% by weight, said epoxy compound being present in an amount of 20 to 200 weight % based on the amount of coupler represented by formula (I):
- ##STR32## where R.sub.11 represents a substituted N-phenylcarbamoyl group having 7 to 42 carbon atoms wherein the substituent is selected from a member consisting of an aliphatic group, an aliphatic oxy group, an aromatic oxy group, an ester group, an amido group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, an imido group and a halogen atom and X.sub.11 represents a non-metallic atomic group required for forming a 5- or 6-membered ring;
- and the coupler may form a dimer or a higher polymer;
- ##STR33## R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aryl group, an aliphatic oxycarbonyl group, an aromatic oxycarbonyl group or a carbamoyl group, provided at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represents a group other than hydrogen atoms;
- the total number of the carbon atoms contained in R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is from 8 to 60;
- R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 or R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 may be linked to form a 5 - to 7-membered ring;
- at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may have at least one epoxy group;
- and the epoxy compound may form a dimer or a higher polymer.
