- (a) a 1,2-glycol;
- and (b) at least 10 parts of at least one alkaline substance and at least 1 part of at least one phenolic compound or quinone compound, each based on 100 parts of said 1,2-glycol.
An oxygen absorbent which is free of elemental metal comprising:
- (a) glycerine;
- and (b) at least 1 part of at least one phenolic compound or quinone compound and at least 10 parts of at least one alkaline substance, each based on 100 parts of glycerine.
An oxygen absorbent which is free of elemental metal comprising:
- (a) at least one sugar alcohol;
- and (b) at least 1 part of at least one phenolic compound or quinone compound and at least 10 parts of at least one alkaline substance, each based on 100 parts of said sugar alcohol.
An oxygen absorbent which is free of elemental metal comprising:
- (a) an oxygen absorbent component consisting essentially of at least one of 1,2-glycols, glycerine and sugar alcohols;
