Abstract
3-Pyrrolidinol or its salt is economically produced by cyclizing an aminobutanol derivative of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is an alkyl or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, or its salt.
Claims14
An aminobutanol derivative of the formula:
- ##STR11## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl and phenyl the phenyl optionally being substituted with C.sub.1-8 alkyl, halogen or C.sub.2-8 alkoxy, or its salt.
A process for the production of 3-pyrrolidinol or its salt comprising cyclizing an aminobutanol derivative of the formula:
- ##STR12## wherein R is R is selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl and phenyl, the phenyl optionally being substituted with C.sub.1-8 alkyl, halogen or C.sub.2-8 alkoyl, and claim claim 6 meters thereto.
