Abstract
An epoxy resin having a propenyl group conjugated with an aromatic ring is heat resistant and is easily molded and cured into products having high strength and Tg. It is thus useful as a resin component or modifier.

A propenyl group-containing epoxy resin of the general formula:
- ##STR26## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 11 carbon atoms,
- X is hydrogen or a halogen atom,
- l is an integer of 0 to 50, and
- m is an integer of 1 to 50.
