Abstract
Methods and compositions for (a) stimulating the growth of hair in warm-blooded animals, (b) increasing subcutaneous fat in warm-blooded animals, and (c) increasing the density of hair follicles in warm-blooded animals are disclosed. The methods utilize an effective amount of a composition comprising a derivative of GHL-Cu.
Claims10
A method for stimulating the growth of hair in warm-blooded animals, comprising:
- administering to the animal a stimulatory effective amount of a derivative of GHL-Cu having the general formula:
- ##STR4## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl moieties containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, aryl moieties containing from 6 to 12 carbon atoms, alkoxy moieties containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and aryloxy moieties containing from 6 to 12 carbon atoms, or where R is L-prolyl-L-valyl-L -phenylalanyl-L-valine or L-valyl-L-phenylalanyl-L-valine.
