Abstract
The invention relates to new fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, m is 1 or 2 and n is (6-m), to a process for their preparation and to the salt-like alkali metal cyanide adducts of the fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes formed as intermediates in this preparation process and to the use of the fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes for the detection of anions.

Fluoromethylated polycyanobenzenes of the formula ##STR22## in which X represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine,
- m is 1 or 2 and
- n is (6-m).
Salt-like adducts of the formula ##STR23## in which X represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine,
- m is 1 or 2,
- n is (6-m) and
- m.sup..sym. represents an alkali metal cation.
