A method of lowering blood pressure in a mammal suffering from hypertension which comprises administering to said mammal a blood pressure lowering effective amount of a compound of formula (I), ##STR8## wherein X is C.dbd.O or CHOH;
- a pharmaceutically acceptable cationic salt thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
