Abstract
A novel recombinant DNA is characterized in that DNA containing a gene encoding phosphotransacetylase has been inserted into vector DNA. The recombinant DNA can be obtained by culturing in medium E. coli 1100 (pPT200) (FERM BP-2195) belonging to the genus Escherichia which contains a recombinant DNA obtained by inserting DNA containing a gene coding for phosphotransacetylase into vector DNA and is capable of producing phosphotransacetylase, and collecting phosphotransacetylase from the culture.
Claims4
A recombinant DNA in which DNA containing a gene encoding phosphotransacetylase has been inserted into vector DNA.
A process for producing phosphotransacetylase which comprises culturing in medium a phosphotransacetylase-producing strain Escherichia coli 1100 (pPT200) (FERM BP-2195) belonging to the genus Escherichia which contains a recombinant DNA obtained by inserting DNA containing phosphotransacetylase-encoding gene into vector DNA, and collecting phosphotransacetylase from the culture.
