Abstract
The present invention relates to an aqueous composition containing a) an at least partially blocked, aqueously dispersed polyisocyanate i) having an isocyanate content prior to blocking of at least 12% by weight, based on the weight of the unblocked polyisocyanate and ii) containing at least 2 equivalent percent, based on the total equivalents of isocyanate groups, of blocked isocyanate groups, and b) a trimerization catalyst. The present invention also relates to coatings or binders prepared by heating the aqueous compositions to evaporate water and initiate trimerization.
