A process for curing photopolymerizable contact lens materials with laser radiation having a wavelength in the ultraviolet region.

A process for curing a photopolymerizable contact lens material comprising the step of irradiating the photopolymerizable contact lens material with pulsed ultraviolet laser radiation having a wavelength of between approximately 200 nm to approximately 400 nm for a predetermined time period.
