Pharmaceutical compositions containing phenylamides

A pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting the aggregation of erythrocytes or thrombocytes comprising an inhibiting amount of at least one compound of the formula:

• ##STR9## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, halogen, nitro, amino, hydroxyl or cyano, or a hydroxyl group substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylsulphonyl, hydroxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or or an amino group substituted at least once by C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylthio group X is a valency bond or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylene radical, A is imino --NH--, B is carbonyl, R.sub.4 is methyl or cyano, R.sub.5 is a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl radical and R.sub.6 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl radical, or R.sub.5 and R.sub.6, together with the carbon atom to which they are attached, represent a C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl ring, the optically-active forms thereof, the tautomers thereof and the physiologically acceptable salts thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
