Abstract
A resorbable osteosynthesis device consisting of: 1) a resorbable plate, in which the side of the plate facing the bone is coated with calcium phosphate and/or hydroxyl apatite; and 2) preferably, a resorbable fixing device consisting of a threaded bolt which is optionally coated with calcium phosphate and/or hydroxyl apatite, and a nut which can be fitted onto the threaded bolt.
Claims13
A resorbable osteosynthesis device comprising:
- a) a resorbable plate;
- b) a coating on the plate comprising calcium phosphate, hydroxyl apatite, or a combination of calcium phosphate and hydroxyl apatite, wherein the coating is present on the portion of the plate which will be in contact with a fractured bone when the plate is in use;
- and
- c) resorbable means for fastening the plate to a fractured bone.
