Abstract
Novel fluorinated (poly)sulfates, halosulfonates, halohydrins and expoxides, as well as novel processes for producing them are disclosed.

A compound of the formula
- R.sup.2 R.sup.3 FCCHXCHR.sup.1 (OSO.sub.2).sub.n Z
- wherein each R.sup.2 and R.sup.2 is independently fluorine or perfluoroalkyl, R.sup.1 is H or -CFR.sup.2 R.sup.3, X is selected from chlorine, bromine and iodine, Z is selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine and --OCHR.sup.1 CHXCFR.sup.2 R.sup.3 and n is an integer from 1 to 6.
A compound of the formula
- R.sup.2 R.sup.3 FCCHXCHR.sup.1 (OSO.sub.2).sub.n Z
- wherein each R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is independently fluorine or perfluoroalkyl, R.sup.1 is H or --CFR.sup.2 R.sup.3, wherein Z and X are selected from the group consisting of chlorine and bromine and n is an integer from 1 to 6.
