Abstract
Chelated radionuclide compositions are provided for conjugation to polypeptides and carbohydrates. The resulting conjugates may be used in diagnosis and therapy.
Claims5
A compound of the formula ##STR13## wherein:
- M is a radionuclide ion, to which one or two oxygen atoms may be bonded:
- R is hydrogen;
- alkyl or geminal dialkyl, wherein said alkyl contains from 1 to 7 carbons;
- or a non-alkyl side chain of a genetically encoded amino acid other than cysteine;
- each X independently represents H.sub.2 or O;
- n is 3 or 4;
- Z is amino;
- a carboxylic ester;
- an imidate ester;
- ##STR14## wherein W.sub.1 is a polypeptide having at least two amino acids;
- ##STR15## wherein W.sub.2 and W.sub.3 independently represents a carbohydrate and the nitrogen is bonded to a carbon atom of W.sub.3.
