Abstract
A polymeric resin laminate is manufactured by bonding the molecularly-modified, adhesion-improved surface of a rigid thermoplastic resin layer to a thermoset resin layer, advantageously, in a reaction injection molding operation.
Claims31
A polymeric resin laminate which comprises:
- a) a rigid layer of thermoplastic resin possessing a molecularly-modified, adhesion-improved surface, the properties of the bulk resin remaining substantially unaffected by the molecular modification of such surface;
- and,
- b) a thermoset resin layer in adherent contact with, and chemically bonded to, the molecularly-modified adhesion-improved surface of rigid layer (a).
