Abstract
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material includes a support and at least one layer of silver halide emulsion formed on the support. The emulsion layer contains silver halide grains which have been subjected both to reduction sensitization while growing and to at least one chemical sensitization selected from the group consisting of gold sensitization, sulfur sensitization, and noble-metal sensitization. Each of the silver halide grains has at least 5 mol % of silver iodide on a surface thereof.
Claims13
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support and at least one layer of silver halide emulsion formed on the support, said emulsion layer containing silver halide grains which have been subjected both to reduction sensitization while growing and to at least one chemical sensitization selected from the group consisting of gold sensitization, each of said grains having at least 5 mol% of silver iodide on a surface thereof, said reduction sensitization being performed in the presence of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented by formula [I]:
- R--SO.sub.2 S--M [I]
- where R is an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group, and M is a cation.
