Abstract
A fusion protein is disclosed which comprises GM-CSF and IL-3. Such fusion proteins more biologically active than GM-CSF or IL-3 alone or GM-CSF and IL-3 combined.

A fusion protein having a formula selected from the group consisting of
- R.sub.1 --R.sub.2,R.sub.2 --R.sub.1,R.sub.1 --L--R.sub.2 and R.sub.2 --L--R.sub.1
- wherein R.sub.1 is GM-CSF;
- R.sub.2 is IL-3;
- and L is a linker peptide sequence.
