Abstract
A flowable demineralized bone powder composition is provided for use in surgical bone repair.

A flowable composition for application to a bone defect site to promote new bone growth at the site which comprises a new bone growth-inducing amount of pulverized demineralized osteogenic bone powder in a biocompatible carrier for the bone powder wherein said carrier is selected from the group consisting of glycerol, monoacetin, diacetin and mixtures thereof.
