Abstract
A fluid purification system including a filter membrane, a down stream storage receptacle and a down stream tap for the fluid, the system further including ultra violet microbial reduction treating circuits upstream the storage receptacle and a microbial reduction treating circuit downstream the storage receptacle before the fluid top.
Claims21
In a system for purifying a fluid consisting essentially of liquid, including a filter membrane, a downstream clean fluid storage receptacle and a fluid tap downstream of said clean fluid storage receptacle, an ultra-violet treating apparatus comprising a first ultra-violet treating circuit to apply ultra-violet microbial reducing radiation upstream said filter membrane to a fluid passing through said system;
- and a second ultra-violet treating circuit to apply ultra-violet microbial reducing radiation downstream said filter membrane, and before said storage receptacle to said fluid passing through said system;
- the improvement comprising:
- a third treating circuit to apply microbial reduction downstream said storage receptacle and before said fluid tap to said fluid passing through said system.
A method of purifying fluid consisting essentially of liquid, comprising:
- passing said fluid to be treated from a supply source through an ion treating prefilter zone, a first ultra-violet microbial reducing radiation-treating zone;
- a reverse osmosis filtering zone;
- a second ultra violet microbial reducing radiation-treating zone;
- a cooled storage zone;
- a third microbial reducing, fluid-purifying treating zone located downstream said storage zone, and then to a fluid tap zone.
A method of purifying fluid consisting essentially of liquid, comprising:
- feeding fluid to be purified during a purifying cycle from a feed zone to a first filter zone to filter particulate matter therefrom;
- passing said fluid to an ionizing and a first microbial reduction treating zone to ionize the fluid and reduce the microbial content therein;
- passing said microbial reduced treated fluid through a reverse osmosis zone to a product zone for a preselected time period;
- passing said fluid from said product zone during said preselected time period to a second microbial reduction treating zone and then to a storage zone;
- varying the temperature of said fluid when in said storage zone;
- passing said fluid with varied temperature through a third microbial reduction treating zone located downstream said storage zone and to a user zone.
