Abstract
The invention relates to photoinitiators having a combined structure ##STR1## and their use as photoinitiators in the photopolymerization of ethylenically unsaturated compounds or binder systems containing them.
Claims6
A compound of the formula ##STR10## in which R.sup.1 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1-6 -alkoxy, C.sub.1-6 alkylthio, or NO.sub.2 ;
- R.sub.2 is COO-(CH.sub.2).sub.m -X or X-(CH.sub.2).sub.m -Y-CO-(CH.sub.2).sub.n -X, where X is O or S, Y is O or NH, m is a number from 2 to 10 and n is a number from 1 to 10;
- R.sup.3, R.sup.4, independently of one another, are each H, C.sub.1-12 -alkyl, C.sub.2-12 -alkenyl or together C.sub.2-6 -alkylene;
- R.sup.5 is OR.sup.6, SO.sub.2 R.sup.7 or OSO.sub.2 R.sup.7 ;
- R.sup.6 is H, C.sub.1-6 alkyl or C.sub.1-6 -alkanoyl;
- and
- R.sup.7 is C.sub.1-6 alkyl or phenyl or benzyl which is unsubstituted or in each case substituted by halogen, C.sub.1-6 -alkyl or C.sub.1-6 -alkoxy.
