Abstract
Novel 8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octylalkylthiazolidinones of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, m, x and y are defined herein, process for the preparation thereof, and methods of treating psychoses and alleviating pain employing compounds and compositions thereof are disclosed.

A compound of the formula ##STR5## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl;
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently hydrogen or loweralkyl;
- X and Y are independently hydrogen, loweralkyl, loweralkoxy, halogen or trifluoromethyl;
- m is 2, 3, or 4;
- or an optical isomer thereof;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
