Resinoid and vitrified bonded abrasive products containing filament shaped sintered alumina based abrasive made up predominantly of fine alpha alumina crystals.
Claims25
A bonded abrasive product comprised of a sintered sol gel filament shaped alumina based abrasive and a bond therefor wherein said filament shaped alumina based abrasive has an average aspect ratio of at least 1.5, a hardness of at least 16 GPa, and is comprised predominantly of sintered alpha alumina crystals having a size of less than about 2 microns.
