Abstract
A reduced metal content lubricant contains the reaction product of a phosphosulfurized polyalkene and an amine, a polyalkene substituted phenol, and, optionally, a polyalkene sulfonate.
Claims29
A lubricant composition comprising a major amount by weight of oil of lubricating viscosity and a minor amount by weight of an additive combination which comprises an animated phosphosulfurized polyalkene, a polyalkene substituted phenol and a polyalkene sulfonate, wherein the polyalkene groups have a number average molecular weight of from about 700 to 5,000.
A lubricant additive concentrate comprising an animated phosphosulfurized polyalkene, a polyalkene substituted phenol, and a polyalkene sulfonate wherein the polyalkene groups have a number average molecular weight of from about 700 to 5,000.
A lubricant additive concentrate comprising a minor amount by weight of oil of lubricating viscosity and a major amount by weight of a mixture of animated phosphosulfurized polyalkene, polyalkene substituted phenol, and polyalkene sulfonate, wherein the polyalkene groups have a number average molecular weight of from about 700 to 5,000.
A lubricant composition comprising a major amount by weight of oil of lubricating viscosity and a minor amount by weight of an additive combination which comprises an animated phosphosulfurized polyalkene and a polyalkene substituted phenol wherein the polyalkene groups have a number average molecular weight of from about 700 to 5,000.
