Abstract
New compositions for the treatment of keratin material, in particular human hair, skin and nails are provided comprising a combination of a cationic polymer with an anionic polymer. Surprisingly the anionic polymer can be retained well on the hair, even after rinsing, when applied with the cationic polymer.
Claims14
A composition for the cosmetic treatment of hair, skin or nails comprising an anionic polymer possessing sulfonic acid grouping having a molecular weight of 500 to 5 million and a cationic polymer containing primary, secondary, tertiary or quaternary amino groups, having a molecular weight of 500 to 5 million, said cationic polymer being characterized by a low substantivity in a solvent medium, said anionic and cationic polymers being present each in an amount from about 0.01 to 10% by weight.
